Location: Buffalo, NY
For the Bills-Seahawks game, the babes decided to take on another brewery. (Let’s be honest, we weren’t expecting the Bills to do THAT well but were of course pleasantly surprised.) We headed downtown and headed up doing a double header at both Resurgence Brewing Company locations.
When a brewery has multiple locations, we tend to try to go to the flagship location first, since that’s where it all started. Resurgence was no exception. We headed over to the Niagara Street location. The aesthetic/vibe was cool. It had that hipster warehouse vibe with games and a cute outdoor seating section. But let me tell you, there wasn’t a soul in sight. Just the bartender and the babes. And the bartender didn’t seemed thrilled we were there so after a round we moved on to Chicago Street.
The Chicago Street location had a totally different feel. Still really cool aesthetically but a little less casual. We found a good table and finished the game there. We ordered flights and enjoyed lobster rolls from a Shuck Shack. We all agreed that the brews were very good. You already know IPAs and Sours were our favorites. I think our favorite was the Resurgence IPA, so give it a try if you’re around.
I will mention the Chicago Street location was crawling with members of #BillsMafia. There was some decor and gameday specials, and one part of the brewery had a large blow up screen. Although we had fun, I’m not sure we’d go back for another game. I’ll also note, during busy season I’d assume parking at this location is hellacious.
Resurgence Brewing Company is one of the more popular breweries in Buffalo on social media and through word of mouth. We’d definitely recommend it if you haven’t been!
Overall Rating: 7.7/10
Service: 3/5 (Our experience at Niagara Street was responsible for the lower rating here.)
